Our class has been working on The Great Tree Story sponsored by BRIT (Botanic Research Institute of Texas). The deadline is March 23. The children have written first drafts, edited, revised, and published their stories. They had to have at least two similes and use one of the five senses at least three times. They also had to have five paragraphs with at least three to five sentences in each paragraph. If we have a winner, our class gets to go on a field trip to a museum. Good luck, third graders.
